NEW DELHI: The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League will start on March 22, the BCCI announced on Sunday and inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals will begin their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23.
The Royals will divide their home matches between two venues - Guwahati and Jaipur.
The Guwahati stadium will host early-season matches against Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.
The team's first match in Jaipur is scheduled for April 13 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The league phase will feature 14 matches per team, totaling 70 matches.
The playoff stage is set for May 20-25, with Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches taking place at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on May 20 and 21 respectively.
The tournament will conclude at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, which will host both Qualifier 2 and the final.
During the IPL 2025 auction, Rajasthan Royals strengthened their squad by acquiring 14 new players, including the return of England fast bowler Jofra Archer.
In a notable move, the team also signed 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi for Rs. 1.10 crore.
