Rajasthan: Goon held for seeking Rs 20 lakh from businessman in Bhiwadi

ALWAR: Police have arrested a wanted criminal for demanding Rs 20 lakh from a businessman in Bhiwadi. The accused identified as Vimlesh (20), alias Yurvaraj, was arrested by a special team from Haryana. Police said the accused had threatened the owner of a sweet shop on August 30.

The accused had sent a threat letter demanding Rs 20 lakh from him. SP Bhiwadi Ram Murti Joshi had announced a reward of Rs 5,000 on the accused.

Police said the accused had fled to Mahendragarh district in Haryana to evade Rajasthan police. Police said that the accused was locked up in Sevar Jail in Bharatpur district when he met dreaded gangster Lawrance Bishnoi inside a prison cell.

“Bishnoi began to calling him tiger, since then he has been calling himself as tiger and named his gang after him,” an official informed TOI.
