JAISALMER: A drunk youth hanged himself from an electricity tower after an argument with his with at his in-laws’ in Barmer rural police station area.
Police handed the body to the family members after the post-mortem.
Police said Paburam, a resident of Hapon Ki Dhani, got married Dhudi Devi from Daruda village six years ago and the couple had three children.
Police said on Saturday he had come his in-laws’ to bring his wife, who was living with her parents for the last 2 to 3 months. They said Paburam started consuming alcohol after an argument with his wife and later hanged himself.
Only his wife and motherin-law were at the house when the argument took place, police said. The neighbours informed the other family members when they spotted the body.
According to rural SHO Parbat Singh, a case was lodged based on the report of the family members and an investigation had been started.
