The traffic policeman stopped them from trying to enter their vehicle on the path meant for pedestrian devotees coming to Khatu Shyamji when the duo thrashed the constable. The on-duty constable was yet to give an FIR in this case.

According to the police, the traffic policeman Shiv Narayan was on duty at a barricade near Khatu Shyamji mode when two persons came and asked him to remove the barricading.

“One of the persons in the car identified as Hemchand Meena claimed that he is a retired police officer who retired with a rank of additional SP and asked the traffic policeman to remove the barricading and let them their drive their vehicle. However, the on-duty policeman politely told them that he can’t allow them to take their vehicle on a way which is meant for the pedestrian devotees coming to Khatu Shyam ji,” said a senior police officer of Ringas police on Friday.

Police added that the retired policemen and his son Yogesh Meena initially entered verbal spat which took an ugly turn when the duo thrashed the policeman on duty. “We have registered a case of disturbing peace against Meena and his son and arrested them on these charges,” said Kunwar Rastradeep, Superintendent of police, Sikar.
