KOTA: At least 21 passengers, including women and children, were injured after a private passenger bus going from Rajkot in Gujarat to Kanpur in UP overturned early on Friday morning hitting a tractor-trolley on NH-27 under Kishanganj police station of Baran, around 15km from district headquarters.
The injured passengers are undergoing treatment at the Baran district hospital and none of them was reportedly in critical condition.
Baran district collector Narendra Gupta rushed to the hospital later in the morning and supervised the medical care and spoke to the injured.
Baran ASP Vijay Swarnkar said that initial inquiry revealed that a tractor-trolley loaded with mustard crop was coming from the wrong side and the speeding private passenger bus, in an attempt to avoid a collision, hit the front portion of the tractor and overturned, hesaid. tnn
