Rajasthan: Budget poor & farmer friendly, says BJP

JAIPUR: State BJP leaders have hailed the union budget 2022 as poor and farmers’ friendly. Former CM Vasundhara Raje said that the budget has lived up to the expectations of the common man while BJP state president Satish Pooniasaid that the state will be the biggest beneficiary of the high budgetary allocation made in Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Awas Yojana.

Reacting to the budget, Raje said, “The budget is dedicated to the poor, villagers and farmers. It will reduce inflation, generate employment, and strengthen the condition of farmers.” She added that the budget is dedicated to ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ which will further strengthen the economy.

Calling the budget focussed on social welfare, Poonia said that allocation of Rs 60,000 crores and Rs 48,000 crores to Jal Jeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will accelerate the water tap connections in rural households and fulfil the dream of poor to own their own house.

“It has something for everyone reflecting the Modi government’s vision of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas. The onus of reaping the benefit of the budget goes to the Gehlot government, which has to rise above politics and take advantage of the people-centric budget,” said Poonia.

Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria called the budget paving the way for doubling the income of farmers. In a statement, he said, “The provision of Rs 2.37 lakh crore allocated for minimum support price will provide farmers an opportunity to sell their produce at the right price.”

Deputy leader of the opposition, Rajendra Singh Rathore expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Sitharaman for presenting a people-friendly budget at a time when the pandemic is yet to be over. “The union budget 2022 will open the floodgates of opportunities for the country,” said Rathore.
