Raj Kundra's book 'How Not to Make Money' resurfaces amidst pornography case; netizens point out 'the irony'

Businessman Raj Kundra is currently in police custody for his alleged involvement in the production of porn films. The husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is being charged under various sections of the IPC for the alleged illegal activities that reportedly fetched him and his partners huge sums of money.

As the case plays out in the public eye, netizens have found the 'irony' in all of it, when they recalled that Kundra authored a book titled 'How Not To Make Money'.

"Raj Kundra once wrote a book titled 'How Not to Make Money'. And he proved it," a Twitter user wrote.

Another said, "Raj Kundra once wrote a book titled "How Not to Make Money". I'm not even joking."

"Irony is Raj Kundra had written a book titled 'How Not To Make Money'," still another wrote with a laugh-out-loud emoticon.

Raj made his literary debut with the book 'How Not To Make Money' back in 2013. Based on true events, the thriller traced the story of three childhood friends, who grew up together in London. While two of the boys are smugglers, the third becomes a corporate lawyer, who attempts to help them devise schemes to get rich.

According to reports, Kundra had stated that the book was based on his research on the Missing Trader Fraud that deprived the government in Europe of billions of euros. "It has taken five years to put it together and I am honoured Random House has picked it up. The book is based on a true story and set in the backdrops of UK," Kundra had posted on Twitter, according to an ANI report.

Shilpa had cheered her man on, saying, "So excited to announce my multifaceted husband Raj Kundra's first book. So proud of you my darling. It's called 'How Not To Make Money'. A must-read."
