Rainfall likely at many places in Rajasthan today

JAIPUR: With active western disturbances and upper air cyclonic circulation, there is a possibility of rainfall in Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions on Wednesday. With the change in the weather, mercury is likely to take a dip. On Tuesday, majority of the places witnessed a rise in the temperatures as Sangaria in Hanumangarh remained coldest in the state where a minimum temperature of 8.1°C was recorded.

Change in the weather conditions was evident on Tuesday evening when mild to moderate showers started at Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Sikar and outskirts of Jaipur. Jaipur Met office stated that the temperatures are though increasing for the past three days in the state, the rainfall in Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions on Wednesday can bring further dip in the mercury. People in Jaipur witnessed a comparatively warmer morning as a minimum temperature of 13.2°C, almost three degrees above the normal notch. It was followed by a warmer afternoon as a maximum temperature of 26.2°C, almost one degree above the normal notch was witnessed. “There has been a constant rise in the minimum and maximum temperatures across the state. Though mild showers would be witnessed on Wednesday despite that there is no possibility of revival of shivering cold conditions. Only a few more sessions of fog and mist may occur in the coming week,” said an officer with Jaipur Met office. tnn
