Rain washes out White Sox-Tigers doubleheader Friday; the teams will try to play 2 Saturday

CHICAGO _ The scheduled doubeheader Friday between the White Sox and Tigers at Guaranteed Rate Field was postponed because of rain.

The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday. Game 1 begins at 2:40 p.m.

Only one of Friday's games will be made up as part of Saturday's doubleheader. The season wraps up with one game, scheduled for 2:10 p.m. Sunday, meaning both teams will play 161 games this season.

Reynaldo Lopez will start in Game 1 for the Sox and Ivan Nova in Game 2.

Friday's game was halted in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Tigers leading 4-2.
