The Oscars 2020 was nearly a washout tonight as heavy rain threatened to ruin the red carpet.
Crews were drafted in to try and push rain water off the roof to stop it from leaking through on to the stars who were posing for photos in all their finery.
Workers even had to sweep the roof with brooms after the wet weather started just as the red carpet was starting on Sunday night.
Variety reporter Matt Donnelly tweeted that huge puddles had formed at the plush Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, which is playing host to the awards ceremony tonight.
He posted: "Staff atop the Dolby Theater are sweeping huge puddles of water down from the Governors Ball build out to the red carpet. Right next to the E! Glambot."
The temperature was around 12C in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, which is considered quite chilly for the city.
Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller said this is only the 11th time it's rained at the Oscars since 1945.
Miller posted: "It’s raining at the Academy Awards, the 11th time that’s happened since 1945 and the first instance since 2015.
"That year, 0.70 inches of rain fell, tied for the wettest #Oscars on record."
Whatever the weather, it looks to be another huge night at the Oscars.
Nominated for Best Picture is Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Little Women, Marriage Story, 1917, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Parasite.
The Best Actor nominees are Antonio Banderas, Leonardo DiCaprio for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Adam Driver for Marriage Story, Joaquin Phoenix for Joker and Jonathan Pryce for The Two Popes.
Those up for Best Actress is Cynthia Erivo for Harriet, Scarlett Johansson for Marriage Story, Saoirse Ronan for Little Women, Charlize Theron for Bombshell and Renée Zellweger for Judy.
