Queensland captain Usman Khawaja is awaiting first crack at staking another Ashes claim in his Sheffield Shield shootout with South Australia's Travis Head.
Redbacks skipper Head won the toss and elected to bowl after rain washed out Tuesday's opening session of the fixture at Adelaide's Karen Rolton Oval.
The Bulls are 1-84 at tea with opener Bryce Street not out 44 and Marnus Labuschagne unbeaten on 19, with Joe Burns (17 from 105 balls) dismissed by David Grant (1-23).
Khawaja, who will bat at No.4, and Head face crunch innings in the match as both bid for the same spot in Australia's Test team.

The duo are eyeing Australia's No.5 batting slot against England in the Ashes opener starting on December 8 in Brisbane.
Both are in Australia's 15-man Test squad and big knocks in the Shield game will enhance their claims.
And both are seeking Test recalls with Khawaja's last Test coming in 2019 while Head was dropped after last year's Boxing Day Test against India.
Khawaja already has posted two Shield tons and a half-century this season and Head scored a century and half-century while also smacking 230 in a one-day match.
