Rain shortens Australia's ODI clash in NZ

Amid dark skies, Australia will take on New Zealand in a rain-shortened ODI to complete the Rose Bowl series.

The third and final 50-over match of Australia's tour of Aotearoa looked likely to fall victim to nasty weather in Mount Maunganui on Saturday.

However, umpires decided to proceed with a 25-over contest after a pitch inspection just an hour before the match was due to be called off.

Australia are looking to sweep the series and extend their world-record streak to 24 matches.

Coach Matthew Mott has handed South Australian Darcie Brown, 18, an ODI debut, coming in for fellow quick Tayla Vlaeminck.

New Zealand, who won the toss and chose to field, have also made one change, bringing in Lea Tahuhu for Hannah Rowe.
