BHOPAL: Bag Sewania police, investigating the suicide case of a 55-year-old woman, on Tuesday registered a case on charges of abetment to suicide against a railway employee and his wife. The accused reached the house of the deceased woman before the incident and quarrelled with her. The woman was upset over the dispute and took the extreme step.
Investigating officer ASI GP Joshi said that deceased Sunita Pathak, 55, resided in Railway Colony in Bag Sewania. Her husband Jagdish Pathak is a TTE in railways. Jagdish went on duty on the night of March 11. Next day their daughter went to celebrate her birthday with her friends. Meanwhile, Jagdish tried calling Sunita on her mobile phone but she didn't pick up his phone. He called his daughter and asked her to return home and check. When their daughter returned home, she found Sunita hanging in her room. Bag Sewania police reached the spot on getting information and registered a case.
ASI Joshi said that during investigations police found that there was a dispute between Sunita and Jagdish's friend Raj Trivedi and his wife Ritu. Raj is posted in the DRM office. Just before the incident, Ritu reached Sunita's house and quarrelled with her. Sunita got upset over the dispute and hanged herself. Police have registered a case against Raj and Ritu on charges of abetment to suicide and started investigations.
In another case, Gandhi Nagar police, investigating the suicide of a 60-year-old man, on Tuesday registered a case on charges of abetment to suicide against his son and his daughter-in-law. The deceased Gyanchandra Gangwani, 60, allegedly hanged himself on the third floor of his house on June 8. He left a suicide note stating that his son Jacky and his daughter-in-law Sushma harassed him and his wife over share in property. Police on basis of suicide note registered a case against Jacky and his Sushma on charges of abetment to suicide.
