Rail trespasser wanted after £300,000 of damage and delays at London station

Police would like to speak to this man in connection with the incident - (BTP)

Police have released an image of a man after a trespass incident at Wandsworth Road Railway Station caused more than £300,000 worth of disruption.

The incident happened between 4.10pm and 5.40pm on Thursday August 14, when a man trespassed across the tracks, causing significant delays and costs to the railway network.

Constable Thomas Appleton said: “We would like to speak to the man in the image, as he may have information that could help our investigation.

“While we appreciate the images may not show the clearest picture of the man, someone may recognise their clothing or notice something distinct.”

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 481 of 14 August.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
