Rail disruption to Central Station trains due to signalling fault in southside

Rail commuters are facing delays at Glasgow Central Station this morning following a signalling fault.

The issue occurred at Corkerhill Station in the southside, with staff currently on site to try and resolve the problem.

Due to the fault, services between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal will be delayed.

A statement from ScotRail reads: "We are dealing with a signalling issue at Corkerhill, delays can be expected. Our staff have been mobilised and will arrive on site shortly. Once we have more information from the ground we will keep you updated.

"To allow our staff access, a reduced service will be running.

"Trains departing Glasgow Central at 12 minutes passed the hour and trains departing Paisley Canal at 5 minutes past the hour will run as normal, the 42 minutes passed the hour departure from Glasgow Central will terminate at Corkerhill and the 35 minutes passed the hour departure from Paisley Canal will start at Corkerhill."

For updates on rail services, follow ScotRail across their social media channels or check the JourneyCheck website.
