Raiders WR Tyrell Williams is one of the most efficient receivers in football

When the Raiders signed Tyrell Williams to a four-year deal, part of the appeal was that he doesn’t need to a lot of targets to be successful. His game is built on making plays down the field and drawing the safeties attention, opening up underneath routes.

But that only works if Williams is efficient on his targets. According to Pro Football Focus, Williams has averaged the fifth-most yards per target in the NFL since 2015. He’s averaged a whopping 10.2 yards per target throughout his career.

With Antonio Brown on the roster, Williams is going to have to continue to be efficient with his limited opportunities. However, that shouldn’t be a problem for one of the league’s best deep-ball receivers. Expect him to have a big impact for the Raiders in Year 1.
