Raiders WR Antonio Brown not suspended, will play vs. Broncos in Week 1

After one of the most unusual weeks in team history, head coach Jon Gruden announced on Friday that wide receiver Antonio Brown has returned to the team and will play in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Brown issued an emotional apology to the team and the front office, and it appears the Raiders have welcomed him back with open arms. It will be fascinating to see how the relationship between Brown and general manager Mike Mayock works through the rest of the season.

As for Week 1, expect Brown to be the focal point of the Raiders’ passing attack and for him to remind the rest of the league why he is worth the trouble.
