Raiders will host Packers in Winnipeg during 2019 preseason

The Raiders continue to be a team that isn’t afraid to play on foreign soil. The NFL announced today that Oakland will host the Packers north of the border during the third week of the preseason.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the game will take place in Manitoba, Manitoba, on Thursday, Aug. 22. The time of the game has yet to be announced.

That means the Raiders will play just one game in Oakland during the preseason — a matchup against the Rams on Aug. 10.

Canada should see a competitive game because the third week of the preseason is usually the “dress rehearsal” game across the league. Look for all of the starters, including quarterbacks Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers, to be on the field during this international matchup.
