Raiders trade kicker Eddy Pineiro to Bears

It appears the kicking battle for the Raiders is over before it started. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders have traded kicker Eddy Pineiro to the Chicago Bears for a conditional 2021 seventh-round pick.

With Daniel Carlson playing so well for Oakland, there just wasn’t a spot on the roster for Pineiro.

Pineiro has yet to attempt a kick in the NFL;  he was placed on the injured reserve list before the 2018 season. He will get a chance to make the Bears roster and will likely be involved in another kicking competition.
