NRL star Jack Wighton will fight multiple assault charges after pleading not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court.
Wighton was charged with nine offences over an alleged incident outside Canberra's Academy night club on February 3.
The Canberra Raiders full-back's charges include three of assault causing actual bodily harm and five common assault against at least four alleged male victims.
Three of the common assault charges read out in court related to an unknown male.
Wighton is also facing a charge of urinating in a public place.
The matter will return to court for a one-day hearing in July.
Prosecution told the court it anticipated to call a number of witnesses and said CCTV footage would be shown.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart was present in court this morning.
On Tuesday, Wighton was named in a 21-man Raiders squad for their game against Parramatta on Saturday.
The Raiders released a statement saying they would allow the 25-year-old to continue to train and play in the period leading up to his next court appearance.
"The Raiders continue to work with the NRL integrity unit and have informed them of the latest developments," the statement read.
