Despite the number of additions to the wide receiver corps, the Raiders continue to add pieces to the group. On Monday, Oakland signed Demornay Pierson-El, formerly of the Salt Lake City Stallions of the American Alliance Football league.
Pierson-El is a smaller receiver, listed at 5’9 185 pounds who spent time with the Washington Redskins and the Montreal Alouettes in Canada. In eight games with the Stallions, he caught 36 passes for 414 yards and one touchdown. He was primarily a slot receiver who can play in the backfield as well.
Pierson-El has some special team’s ability and is expected to compete for a roster spot with J.J. Nelson, Ryan Grant, Marcel Ateman, etc.
