Raiders select WR Jerry Jeudy in latest 2020 Draft Wire mock draft

After taking a chance on Antonio Brown last offseason, the Oakland Raiders will yet again be on the lookout for a No. 1 wide receiver. Luckily for Oakland, the 2020 draft is loaded with talent and the team has two first-round picks to address their most significant need.

Arguably the best receiver in the 2020 draft is Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy. As a sophomore at Alabama, Jeudy caught 68 passes for 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide. He’s already off to a great start in 2019, catching 24 passes for 308 yards and four scores.

In a recent mock draft by Luke Easterling of the Draft Wire, Jeudy was the selection for the Raiders with the No. 4 pick. Take a look at Easterling’s explanation for the pick below:

The Antonio Brown era was short-lived for Raider Nation, but in this scenario, they still have a chance to add a game-breaking pass-catcher. Jeudy is one of the most explosive playmakers in all of college football, and would make the Raiders quickly forget about the AB debacle.

While Jeudy doesn’t have great size, he would be a perfect fit in Jon Gruden’s offense, especially with Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow already on the roster. His speed would allow him to make plays right away as he develops into the team’s No. 1 receiver. Jeudy is on the shortlist of players that Raiders’ fans should watch during this college football season.
