With their third and final first round pick, the Oakland Raiders have selected safety Johnathan Abram from Mississippi State.
Abram was a second-team All-American selection in 2018 after recording 99 tackles, nine tackles for a loss and seven pass deflections. Abram is a box safety who can play as a free safety if needed.
With Karl Joseph and Lamarcus Joyner under contract, expect Joyner to play more in the slot with Abram playing in the box.
