Raiders select LB Josh Allen in latest PFF mock draft

Earlier in the offseason, there were a half dozen names that were given to the Raiders with the fourth-overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft. But as we have inched closer to the draft, the list of names has shortened. So much so that there is now one common name at No.4; Kentucky’s Josh Allen.

In Pro Football Focus’ latest mock draft, the Raiders selected the talented edge rusher with the team’s first pick. Here is what PFF had to say about the pick:

“Another pass-rusher comes off the board in Allen, who put up the highest pass-rush grade in the nation last year at 94.3. He also brings coverage versatility that can be tapped into.”

If the Raiders are fortunate enough to select Allen with the No.4 overall pick, they would be getting arguably the best pass-rusher in the 2019 NFL Draft. As a senior, Allen recorded 17 sacks, the most in the SEC. Allen would be a terrific addition to the Raiders’ defense.
