Raiders select Clemson LB Tanner Muse with the No. 100 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft

With their third selection on Day 2 of the NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have selected linebacker Tanner Muse with the No. 100 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Muse is the fourth Clemson player that the Raiders have drafted over the last two years (Clelin Ferrell, Trayvon Mullen, Hunter Renfrow).

Muse is one of the most athletic defenders in the draft and one of the most versatile. At Clemson, he played both safety and linebacker for the Tigers. He was announced as a linebacker and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played as a weakside linebacker in the NFL.

During his college career, he totaled 191 tackles to go along with seven interceptions. While he is still a work in progress as a linebacker, his athleticism is elite.

Muse ran a 4.41 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, weighing in at 227 pounds. He’s likely to start on special teams with the chance of playing in nickel packages as a rookie.
