Raiders RG Gabe Jackson close to returning from knee injury

With the Oakland Raiders getting starting left guard Richie Incognito back this week from his suspension, the offensive line is starting to come together. That unit should get a boost in the (very) near future.

In his Monday press conference, head coach Jon Gruden told the media that starting right guard Gabe Jackson is close to returning to the field:

“Gabe Jackson by the way, is getting better every single day. I don’t think he’ll play this week, but he’s getting closer and closer and closer to returning.”

Gabe Jackson was arguably the team’s best offensive lineman during the 2018 season and should provide a massive upgrade in the run game. With rookie running back Josh Jacobs already impressing, this should only help Oakland’s offense improve for the final 11 or 12 games of the season.
