Raiders release WR Antonio Brown after all the drama

The long strange summer of Antonio Brown continues to devolve into madness. The Oakland Raiders cut the talented but troubled wide receiver on Saturday after a bizarre series of escapades.

Brown earned exactly $0 from his months in Oakland. His oddball behavior negated his bonuses and guaranteed money in his 3-year/$50 million contract Brown signed to much fanfare in March.

The former Pittsburgh Steeler standout has (among many antics): missed mandatory camps, sat out weeks of training camp in a dispute over his helmet, failed to attend a walkthrough in a hotel he was staying in, recorded a phone conversation with coach Jon Gruden and morphed it into a self-indulgent YouTube video, and renamed himself Mr. Big Chest.

Brown is now free to sign with any NFL team and his Raiders contract is terminated. This is one where Browns GM John Dorsey needs to just say no.
