The trickle-down to 80 players continues as more cuts are coming down the pipeline. Another notable player released was a former fifth-round pick from 2017, linebacker Marquel Lee.
Lee had a path to make the football team but was injured continuously last season with Ankle issues. He did not pass the physical before camp and was then released. This now opens a path for both Tanner Muse to earn snaps early and Undrafted free agent Javin White to make this football team.
Other notable cuts include tight end Paul Butler who has been a frequent camp body and practice-squad player.
