Raiders Receive Good News on Jimmy Garoppolo’s Status Ahead of Packers Game

Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has cleared concussion protocol, the team announced Friday. He is expected to start on Monday night vs. the Packers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Garoppolo suffered the concussion during the Raiders’ week three loss vs. the Steelers, although he played in the entire game and was diagnosed after the game ended. He has been in concussion protocol ever since Sept. 25, a total of 11 days, before finally clearing tests this week.

The quarterback missed last week’s matchup vs. the Chargers, as rookie Aidan O’Connell got the start instead. With Garoppolo out against Los Angeles, O’Connell threw for 238 yards with no passing touchdowns and one interceptions, although he did run for a score.
