Raiders RB Isaiah Crowell out for year after tearing Achilles

The Raiders’ decision to draft Josh Jacobs just became a lot more important as Isaiah Crowell tore his Achilles on Monday and is out for the year, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

In his only season with the Jets, Crowell rushed for 658 yards on 143 carries, averaging 4.8 yards per rush. Crowell was expected to be the team’s Day 1 starter before the injury, but now it appears that Jacobs will get every opportunity for that job. Expect Oakland to sign another veteran running back to help ease in Jacobs.
