Just two weeks ago, the Oakland Raiders were the No. 6 seed in the AFC and appeared to be in prime position to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016. But after back-to-back losses to the Jets and the Chiefs, the Raiders’ playoff odds continue to drop.
According to the New York Times Playoff Simulator, the Raiders’ playoff odds have fallen all the way down to just 10 percent heading into the Sunday Night Football game. Before this contest, their odds sat at 25 percent, so it was a particularly painful loss for Oakland.
Oakland can get back on track next week if they can defeat the 7-6 Tennesee Titans at home. A win in Week 14 would improve their odds to 20 percent, independent of the other outcomes next week. But a loss would virtually eliminate the Raiders will three weeks to go.
Basically, next week is a win-or-go-home game for the Oakland Raiders. It will be fascinating to see how if they can bounce back after an ugly Week 13 loss.
