Canberra Raiders forward Corey Horsburgh has been convicted and fined $500 after being caught drink driving early on Christmas Day.
The 23-year-old NRL player, who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence when he faced ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday, has also been disqualified from driving for three months.
"I'm disappointed I let the club down, and my family," he told reporters outside court.
"I'm just glad it's all done and just looking forward to playing some football now."
Fellow Raiders forward Corey Harawira-Naera was also charged with a drink-driving offence on Christmas Day and is due to face ACT Magistrates Court on March 25.
Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has warned both players they've put their spots in the NRL side at risk.
"It is disappointing but it's not my job to be keeping their spot in the 17," Stuart told reporters earlier this month.
"They know it was a bad choice."
The duo look set to face punishment from the club and NRL, pending the integrity unit's findings.
Harawira-Naera, 25, was released by Canterbury Bulldogs last year after being embroiled in a schoolgirl sex scandal in Port Macquarie.
