Raiders place second-round tender on RB Jalen Richard and CB Daryl Worley

With free agency set to begin in just a few days, the Oakland Raiders made two interesting moves on Thursday morning.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders have placed a second-round tender on running back Jalen Richard and cornerback Daryl Worley. Per Gehlken, both deals are worth $3.095 million.

The second-round tender makes sense for both players as neither are stars, but both are impactful players the team doesn’t want to lose. Richard set career highs in receptions and receiving yards in 2018 while Worley served as the team’s No.3 cornerback.

Expect both players to have some interest in restricted free agency, but for the Raiders to ultimately retain them for the 2019 season.
