Raiders make blockbuster trade for Antonio Brown; Chargers will need to add help at CB

The Raiders traded for one of the best wide receivers in the NFL last Saturday night. Oakland acquired Antonio Brown for a third and fifth round pick.

Brown also got a hefty contract, too. The 31-year old lands in the division with the Chargers.

The Raiders are not done making moves. Rumor has it that Oakland is trying to acquire Le’Veon Bell. That isn’t it, either. Oakland is trying to get rid of Derek Carr and move up to get Kyler Murray as well.

The Chargers could be looking at facing quite a revamped Raiders offense in 2019. Those final two moves may not happen and this may be moot. Then again, the Raiders may still target Tyrell Williams and just go all in. Either way, the team will need to continue to improve.

A sneaky position of need is CB. Desmond King and Casey Hayward are set. In today’s game you need three corners. Not so sure Michael Davis is that guy. We will see if the team brings in some mid-tier level CB during free agency, or one later in the draft. Don’t sleep on there being at addition at corner, though.
