Raiders LT Trent Brown set to receive nearly $37 million in guarantees in first two years

The Oakland Raiders made the first big move of free agency by agreeing to a deal with former Patriots’ offensive tackle Trent Brown. Now that the dust has settled some, the official numbers are starting to come in for Brown and his contract.

According to NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, Brown is set to receive $36.75 million guaranteed over the first two years of his four-year contract. In total, Brown can make up to $66 million over the course of the deal.

To sign Brown, the Raiders had to make a big offer, and they certainly did that. Brown is now the league’s highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history.
