Raiders lose heart-breaker to Texans, 27-24

The Oakland Raiders battled the Houston Texans in Week 8 in a back-and-forth contest all afternoon. Unfortunately, they just weren’t able to hang on in the fourth quarter as the Texans won 27-24.

Oakland was unable to get a stop on the last drive of the game as the Texans moved the ball up and down the field on their defense in the second half. The Raiders made too many mistakes in this contest, totaling 11 penalties for 100 yards. It was another contest in which Oakland should have won on the road, but was unable to win.

Here are the Raiders’ offensive leaders in Week 8 along with an injury update:

Leading Passer: QB Derek Carr – 18 of 30 for 285 yards and 3 TDs

Leading Rusher: RB Josh Jacobs – 15 carries for 66 yards, 0 TDs

Leading Receiver: WR Tyrell Williams – 3 catches for 91 yards, 1 TD

Injury Update:

C Rodney Hudson was ruled out with a knee injury he suffered in the second quarter.

DE Josh Mauro injured his groin in the first half and was ruled out for the remained of the game.
