Raiders' Jack Del Rio not overly emotional about Jacksonville return

ALAMEDA, Calif. _ Not one to share much about his emotions, Jack Del Rio said he's not too worried about how he'll react when he returns to Jacksonville Sunday.

"I've been in this league a long time, so I've gone back to a few places before," Del Rio said Wednesday. "I think I'll be OK."

Del Rio spent nine years coaching in Jacksonville, going 68-71 before being fired late in the 2011 season.

"Certainly learned a lot during my time there, had some great experiences and family and friends there," Del Rio said. "I know a lot about that area, but what I know most and what I'm most concerned with is our football team preparing to travel well.

"We need to travel well, we need to go down, we need a win, bad, and all of that other stuff is kind of peripheral stuff. Really, my focus is primarily on getting this football team ready and going down and playing a good football game."

Del Rio, who took the Jaguars to the playoffs twice in his tenure, said he's not sure what type of reception he'll get Sunday at EverBank Field.

"I know that we're coming in as the opponent, so you typically expect to get treated like all opponents do," Del Rio said.

Raiders safety Reggie Nelson was in Jacksonville with Del Rio from 2007-09 and was surprised to learn this would be Del Rio's first trip back.

"It's going to be exciting for him," Nelson said. "I'm pretty sure we'll put on a show for him."
