It seemed a lock, but now it’s official; Charles Woodson is a first ballot Hall of Famer. He is among the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame class in his first year of eligibility.

Woodson was the only ever primarily defensive player to win the Heisman, then won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1998, Defensive Player of the Year in 2009, four times an All-Pro, nine times a Pro Bowler, and won a Super Bowl with the Packers. He is a member of the Hall of Fame’s All-2000s team.
He was the Raiders selection at number four overall in the 1998 draft. After eight years with the Raiders, he was allowed to leave as a free agent and signed with the Packers at the age of 30. He spent seven highly successful years in Green Bay before returning to sign with the Raiders in 2013; this time as a safety.
Woodson started every game over three seasons in Oakland, making another Pro Bowl and retired after the 2015 season.
