The common belief is that the Raiders are going to heavily address their defense during the NFL Draft. However, we rarely see mock drafts with the Raiders using all three picks in the first round to address that side of the ball.
But in Chris Trapasso’s latest mock draft for CBS Sports, he has the Raiders using the first three selections on defense. Take a look at his picks for Oakland:
No. 4 – Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
No. 24 – Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State
No.27 – Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
While it might be stretch to think the Raiders could grab either Sweat or Murphy at the bottom of the first round, it’s tough to argue against this mock. Williams, Sweat, and Murphy would all be instant starters for the Raiders and would significantly upgrade their respective positions. Overall, this mock gets an A+ from me.
