Heading into the final game of the season, the Oakland Raiders were somehow still alive for playoff contention. However, with the Titans defeating the Texans, the Raiders were officially eliminated from playoff contention.
It also didn’t help that the Raiders fell to the Broncos in a game that Oakland should have won. The Raiders made multiple mistakes in the game as they dropped far too many passes and had too many penalties. They lost on the final play of the game, failing to convert a two-point conversion.
While the Raiders didn’t make the playoffs, the team did make a step in the right direction. The team won four more games than what they did in the previous season and were competitive in several others. The Raiders will continue to look to build on this season as they move to Las Vegas in 2020.
