On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs are coming to Las Vegas where they will face a Raiders team suddenly depleted by COVID-19. The most recent is defensive end Clelin Ferrell who tested positive this week and is unlikely to play.

Both Ferrell and Lamarcus Joyner were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, though initially, it was unclear what the situation was for each player. As a close contact, Joyner will be quarantined and must test negative for COVID-19 for five straight days in order to be available for the game Sunday night.
Three Raiders starters figure to miss Sunday’s game with tackle Trent Brown and linebacker Cory Littleton already on the list.
Brown in particular is on the list for the second time this season after experiencing residual effects of the disease even after testing negative. His health issues show us that the lengths the NFL is going through isn’t just precautionary, it’s necessary for the short and long term health of their players, staff, and anyone who comes in contact with them.
