Raiders CB Trayvon Mullen never allowed a touchdown in college

Heading into the 2019 NFL draft, cornerback was one of the biggest needs on the Raiders’ roster. Third-year player Gareon Conley is the only “proven” cornerback on the roster and he’s had his own struggles early on.

However, the Raiders addressed that need early on in the draft, grabbing Clemson’s Trayvon Mullen with their second-round pick.

Mullen was highly productive at Clemson, allowing a passer rating of just 51.1 throughout his career. But what is more impressive is that Mullen never allowed a touchdown, according to Pro Football Focus.

Mullen may never be a No. 1 cornerback in the NFL, but he projects as a high-level second corner. If Mullen can play anything like the player we saw in Oakland, the Raiders secondary should be in good shape for years to come.
