Raiders and RB Lynch will wait until after the draft for possible deal

With the owner’s meetings starting in Phoenix this week, all of the NFL front offices and the media are there to cover the new changes to the league for the 2019 season.

One of the questions for the Raiders after the start of free agency is the future of Marshawn Lynch. Lynch is not under contract and contemplating retirement. New Raiders GM Mike Mayock was asked about lynch by Vic Tafur of the Athletic.

Mayock said nothing new with Marshawn Lynch. “I think both parties are going to wait for the draft and go from there.” #Raiders

Waiting until after the draft is a good plan because if the Raiders do load up on talent at the running back position, the Raiders could move on from Lynch.

There still is a good chance Lynch does come back, and the Raiders would be welcome to have Lynch after performing well for the past two years. Having him, finish out the last year in Oakland would be great for the city and the fans.
