For the second time this free agency, the Raiders have added a receiver. They already had 5-11 Henry Ruggs. Then they added 5-11 John Brown. And today they signed 5-11 Willie Snead. I’m sensing a theme.
And in a non-trade moves today, the Raiders are signing former Ravens’ WR Willie Snead to a one-year contract, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus.
And the Bears are signing back free-agent CB Artie Burns to a one-year deal, per @DrewJRosenhaus.

The 28-year-old played the past three seasons in Baltimore where he appeared in 45 games with 29 starts. Last season he caught 33 passes for 432 yards and three touchdowns.
Snead broke out in 2015 with the Saints, catching 69 passes for 984 yards and three touchdowns. He followed that up with 72 catches for 895 yards and four touchdowns.
Snead works mostly out the slot, which is where the Raiders deploy Hunter Renfrow. Making Snead valuable depth at the position. He can also line up outside, making him a depth signing across the board for the Raiders.
Here’s how their wide receiver corps stacks up now:
Starters: Henry Ruggs III, John Brown, Hunter Renfrow
Backups: Willie Snead, Bryan Edwards, Zay Jones, Keelan Doss, Marcell Ateman, Trey Quinn
