Raiders add versatile SEC offensive lineman in latest CBS Sports mock draft

There are still three weeks left in the NFL season, but a very important offseason looms for the Raiders. They will soon be searching for a new head coach and will need to decide what to do with Derek Carr and his contract.

They will also enter the offseason with huge needs at wide receiver and on the offensive line. But which spot will they look to address first in the draft?

In a recent mock draft by Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports, he had the Raiders selecting Texas A&M offensive lineman Kenyon Green in the first round. Here is what he had to say about the possible selection:

“Green is a masher who can play any position up front. The Raiders have to solidify the interior of their blocking unit.”

Green would fit the Raiders because he can play both guard positions and right tackle. The Raiders spent the No. 17 pick on Alex Leatherwood, but it remains unclear what position he will play in 2022.

The team also has Denzelle Good on the roster, who has experience at both guard and tackle. However, he’s missed all but one game this season after being injured in Week 1.

Green would give them another versatile offensive lineman with elite size and athleticism. In this scenario, the Raiders would probably need to use some free-agent dollars to add to their wide receiver room and defense.

Don’t be surprised if Green is one of the two or three most likely players to be drafted by the Raiders in late April.
