The Oakland Raiders have made some dramatic improvements to their roster in 2019. They have added multiple Pro Bowlers on both sides of the ball in an attempt to challenge for a playoff spot as soon as 2019.
But despite all of their additions, sportsbooks aren’t convinced they are ready to compete quite yet. According to BetOnline, the Raiders are still massive underdogs to win the AFC West in 2019. The Chiefs are still heavy favorites, posting odds of 2/3 to win the division.
Considering the Raiders’ schedule, Oakland may still be a year away from competing for the AFC West crown. However, don’t be surprised if Oakland becomes a contender in the division faster than anyone could have imagined. They may be the most talented team in the division, and with some luck, they could be in the playoff hunt next season.
