A raid on a terraced house revealed a massive cannabis farm inside.
Officers carried out a warrant at the property in Halewood yesterday.
They also found the electricity meter at the address in Stanford Crescent had been tampered with and bypassed.
Knowsley Police said in a Facebook post: "Officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Stanford Crescent yesterday, during which a cannabis farm was located inside.
"The electricity meter had also been bridged and had to be made safe by Scottish Power. Officers were assisted by colleagues from the Cannabis Dismantling Team and Crime Scene Investigation.
"The investigation is ongoing at this time."

In a statement shared with the ECHO, Merseyside Police said: "Officers seized cannabis plants during a drugs search warrant on Stanford Crescent yesterday (Wednesday 20 January), following intelligence of a suspected cannabis farm.
"The warrant took place at around 9.45am where a total of 30 plants and growing equipment were seized by officers.
"The property has been made safe and enquiries are ongoing."

Some of the signs that cannabis is being grown are:
- Strange smells and sounds
- Frequent and varied visitors to a property, often at unusual times
- Gardening equipment being taken into a property, such as plant pots, fertiliser, fans and industrial lighting
- Windows are sealed and covered or the curtains are permanently closed
- Heat from an adjoining property
- Birds gathering on a roof in cold weather
- Individually these activities may seem commonplace, however, together may indicate something more suspicious
