Raheem Sterling named Premier League Player of the Month: Man City star wins November award

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has been named Premier League player of the month for November.

Sterling scored three goals and provided as many assists as Man City won all three of their games last month.

The 24-year-old beat Manchester City team-mates Leroy Sane and David Silva to the award, which he last won in August 2016. Felipe Anderson, Moussa Sissoko, Andrew Robertson and Lucas Digne had also been nominated.

The Premier League will announce its goal of the month and manager of the month winners on Friday.

News of Sterling’s award off the pitch comes after the England international turned the spotlight on media coverage in the aftermath of City’s defeat at Chelsea, where he was targeted with alleged racist abuse from home supporters.

Chelsea have suspended four people from attending matches as they investigate the incident.
