Raheem Sterling, Jorginho and Aubameyang drop huge team news hints ahead of Newcastle vs Chelsea

Raheem Sterling, Jorginho and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have all dropped team news hints ahead of Chelsea's clash with Newcastle United this afternoon. The trio have posted pre-match graphic previews of the clash to their respective Instagram stories, as have Kalidou Koulibaly and Thiago Silva.

Eddie Howe's side head into the clash nine Premier League games unbeaten. The Magpies are enjoying a great vein of form and look poised to challenge for the top spots come the end of the season.

The Blues, on the other hand, are winless in their previous four Premier League clashes and they're in desperate need of a win before the squad disperses later this month for the World Cup. Potter will be hoping that Sterling and Aubameyang can find their feet in front of goal having struggled to convert lately.

And, ahead of what is poised to be blockbuster bout, Potter previewed the tie. Speaking to football.london, the Blues boss said: "Everybody will feel better if we can get the three points, but we know Newcastle will be fighting for them as well. It will be an exciting game, a tough match, but we will try our best."

"I think it's more a reflection of the job they've done," Potter added, when asked whether the Magpies are ahead of schedule amid having recently been taken over themselves. "I think Eddie has done a fantastic job.

"He has improved the players that were there, improved the team with some really good recruitment – they've spent some money to reinforce the team. I could speak for half an hour about how good I think Eddie is as a person and as a coach.

"I have huge admiration for him, and he has galvanised the team, and there is fantastic support there at St James' Park."

While Sterling, Jorginho, Aubameyang, Koulibaly and Silva posting graphic previews of the Newcastle fixture on their social media profiles does not necessarily mean both will start, it usually means they will be involved in some capacity. Follow live coverage of the game in our blog here.
