Raheem Sterling 'interested' in move, Arsenal 'contact' £30m striker - Latest transfer rumours

Arsenal are in the midst of their preparation for the January transfer window, which is now just one month away.

The Gunners currently find themselves fifth in the Premier League and will hope to continue their quest for a place in next season's UEFA Champions League by increasing their five-point gap over Manchester United, who they play on Thursday night.

Mikel Arteta's side may need to dip into the transfer market in the market window given Thomas Partey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe and Mohamed Elneny will all be attending the Africa Cup of Nations in the New Year.

Here, football.london brings you all the latest transfer rumours involving the Gunners over the last 24 hours.

What?

Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Arsenal are keen on Juventus attacker Dejan Kulusevski amid reports that Mikel Arteta wants to bring him to the Emirates Stadium in January.

Asked if the Swedish international could join either the Gunners or Tottenham Hotspur in January, Di Marzio said: “Arsenal want him.

“The first contacts with the agents (have been made). Juventus bought him for €35million (£30million) plus bonuses. So, it depends on how much Arsenal want to invest on this player.

“But, I know that the first contacts have been made by the parties.”

What?

According to Spanish outlet Superdeporte, Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri will be allowed to leave the club if they receive a good offer for his services.

The Moroccan international has been consistently linked with a move to Arsenal and the report claims that both the Gunners and Manchester United are interested in the prolific frontman.

The report also states that 'everything indicates' that he will join a Premier League club next summer, with the Spanish side demanding €42million (£36million) for his signature.

Who?

Raheem Sterling

Where?

Ian McGarry (via The Transfer Window Podcast)

What?

Transfer expert Ian McGarry has claimed that the idea of moving to Arsenal appeals to Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.

Speaking to The Transfer Window Podcast, McGarry said: "It's the case that his representatives have met with Man City and are saying their player does not wish to continue or indeed explore an extension on his contract.

“Instead, they would prefer to explore the option of a loan deal, which they would like to begin in the January window. Whether or not that’s possible remains to be seen but there are several interested parties, including Arsenal."

He continued: “We know that Sterling himself turned down the opportunity to join Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent basis last summer but the idea of moving back to London, the idea of having the guarantee, almost, of a starting place in another elite Premier League club is extremely attractive to him.”
